Format of Meeting / Club Etiquette
Meetings will be opened by the President at 7:45 PM, members are asked to be ready to start the meeting 5 minutes prior to the opening
Once the meeting has been open all members are asked to give proper order to the person who is conducting the evening i.e. Lecturer, Judge, Guest or one of our own members
The president will give any notices, announcements etc. before introducing the guest speaker, judge or before beginning the night’s procedures or activities.
Part of the way through the evening there will be a short break. Please keep the break as short as possible and be ready to restart at the Presidents discretion.
When a lecturer has completed his Lecture the President may invite any questions from members to the lecturer.
When a lecturer has completed his lecture and any questions, or a judge finishes his judging, the President or his nominee will give a vote of thanks.
The vote of thanks is a very important part of the evening; members are expected to give full and proper order during this period. Please do not interrupt during the Vote of Thanks, anything you may wish to add please say it after the vote of thanks. Members are asked not to leave their seats during the vote of thanks.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT MOBILE PHONES ARE TURNED OFF PRIOR TO START OF MEETINGS
Most meetings are concluded by 09:30 PM to 10:00 PM
